Secondary education in Pakistan starts from grade 9 and continues for four years. Students are compulsory to take part in the countrywide papers which are taken by Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (or BISE). It is one of the most important class for the students. It is the primary phase of higher education in Pakistan. Marks taken for this class are effective for the next classes which are the essential stages in the life of students.
Students are intended to take a regular annual test upon finishing of grade 9 for the academic subjects. They once more appear in these tests of the next portions of the similar curriculum at the end of grade 10. They are granted a Secondary School Certificate (or SSC) upon ending of these papers. This is locally termed as ‘matriculation certificate’ or ‘matric’ for short. The curriculum typically comprises of of eight courses including Biology, Chemistry, Computer and Physics as well as Mathematics, English, Urdu, Islamic studies and Pakistan Studies.
Students at that moment go in an intermediate college and complete classes 11 and 12. They are given the Higher Secondary (School) Certificate (or HSC) according to effective conclusion of these considerations. It is also called the FSc/FA/ICS or ‘intermediate’. There are many subjects students can choose for the 11 and 12 grades, such as pre-medical, pre-engineering, humanities (or social sciences), computer science and commerce.
